He sported a mullet during his career.
He was a member of the Bills teams that lost the last two of four consecutive Super Bowls (1992-93).
He was released by the Bills, who felt his accuracy had begun to fade as a result of a groin injury; his replacement was Jake Arians, the son of future NFL head coach Bruce Arians.
He was among a handful of ex-Bills who signed with the San Diego Chargers, when the Bills former general manager John Butler took the reins of the team.
He made a comeback in the CFL, three years after announcing his retirement from the NFL.
