Why To Tell the Truth might be annoying:

It was very similar to other panel-based game shows such as 'What's My Line?' and 'I've Got a Secret.'
Some of the 'impostors' had an obviously hard time bluffing their way through the game.
The 90's version went through three hosts in one season (five if you count sub host Mark Goodson and pilot host Richard Kline)!
The host always read out a long, drawn out Affidavit about the subject contestant before the start of the game.
The 70's version used a goofy bubblegum theme song with cheesy lyrics (It's a lie, lie/You're tellin' a lie...).
Kitty Carlisle Hart became more known for being a panelist on the show than for her acting.
Some of the subjects were really strange (ex. a chef who cooked wild animals).

Why To Tell the Truth might not be annoying:

Many notable people such as Orville Redenbacher, Chuck Jones, Larry King, Rosa Parks, Stan Lee, and Frank Abagnale, Jr. appeared as subjects.
It aired in six different decades.
Kitty Carlisle Hart was a regular panelist on every version of the show.
TV Guide ranked it as the 9th greatest game show of all time.
The rules of the game stayed almost exactly the same throughout its entire run.
The entire panel was once tricked into eating dog food, thinking it was beef stroganoff.
