    Son of Willie Park Sr.

Why he might be annoying:

    He lost to Harry Vardon in the 1898 British Open by a stroke as he putted and missed a hole.
    His performances in the British Open went downhill which kept him from having a Top 10 finish in the early stages of the 20th century.
    He guided the Scottish team to two losses in the England–Scotland Professional Match (1907 and 1910).
    He missed the cut in 1919 U.S. Open before retiring from golfing.
    He overworked in the course designing business and refused to retire until his health was in jeopardy.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He invented clubs such as the bent neck putter, driving cleek, the bulger and a lofter.
    He and his family had a rivalry with the Morris family (Old Tom Morris and Young Tom Morris) in business and golf.
    He beat Bob Martin in the 1887 British Open to become the third person from the Park family to win a British Open.
    He captured his last British Open title in his hometown golf course.
    He was the first pro golfer to write a book about the sport.
    He took credit as the designer behind 170 golf courses that are located in the British Isles, Europe, the United States and Canada.
    He said about putting, 'A man who can putt is a match for anyone.'
