Why he might be annoying:

He allegedly found robbery victims through ads on Craigslist offering erotic services.
When Brisman resisted, she was bashed over the head and shot three times.
A police search of his apartment turned up 16 pairs of women's panties, 60 flex-cuff restraints and an automatic handgun hidden in a hollowed-out copy of Gray's Anatomy.
He was placed on a suicide watch after he tried to strangle himself with his shoelaces and cut his wrists with a sharpened spoon.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a member of the National Honor Society in high school.
His lawyer complained that prejudicial media coverage made it impossible for him to receive a fair trial.
A group of his friends started a Facebook group called 'Philip Markoff Is Innocent Until Proven Guilty.'
He apparently was taken off suicide watch prematurely.
