Why they might be annoying:

Frequently White rather than the group would be pictured on their album covers and single sleeves.
Their biggest hit, ‘Love’s Theme,’ originated as an overture on a Love Unlimited album.
They recorded the theme song for Dino de Laurentiis’ lousy remake of King Kong.

Why they might not be annoying:

‘Love’s Theme’ hit #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and Adult Contemporary charts and Top 10 on the R&B chart.
’Love’s Theme’ was used as the theme music for ABC Sports’ coverage of golf for years.
Members who went on to successful solo careers include guitarists Ray Parker, Jr., and Lee Ritenour, and saxophonist Kenny G.
