Why he might be annoying:

He is very injury prone.
His slapshot has broken many goaltenders hands.
He didn't wear a visor for most of his career, until he almost lost an eye by an errant stick three seasons ago.
He doesn't get much attention because he has spent his entire career in small-market cities.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is a natural leader on the ice and in the locker room.
He has an extremely hard slapshot and has won the Hardest Shot competition every time he competes in it.
He doesn't mind playing his entire career in small-markets, such as Calgary & St. Louis.
He helped Team Canada win the Gold Medal in 2002, ending a 50 year drought.
He was named the St. Louis Blues interim team Captain while Chris Pronger was injured, but when Pronger came back, the players responded so well to his leadership, they made him the team's permanent captain.
He won the 1999 Norris Trophy, beating out the likes of Nicklas Lidstrom & Rob Blake.
His first job was unloading lobsters off of boats in his hometown of Inverness on Cape Breton Island.
