Outlaw

The Resume

    (January 12, 1949-December 2, 1993)
Birth name is Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria
Don of the drug network known as El Cartel de Medellin
Built an airstrip in the Bahamas to direct cocaine delivery to the United States
Controlled one of the largest narcotics empires
    Subject of the film 'Blow'

Why he might be annoying:

He controlled the exporting of cocaine into the United States for almost 20 years.
He had manipulated the Colombian government, ordering the death of three presidential candidates that he did not agree with.
He frequently bribed public officials and judges to get his way.
He is the prime suspect behind a number of Avianca jet crashes during the 1980s.
Towards the end of his criminal career he made a deal with Colombian authorities where he would go to jail only if he built his own jail and came out with a degree in law as soon as his sentence had been served.
This resulted in him living in a luxurious prison that kept him safe from rival cartels as he continued to control his drug empire.
Despite not serving his sentence, he escaped from his own prison (1992).
He placed a bounty of $300 on the heads of all police officers, American citizens and military personnel while he was on the run.
He had a fear of unclean bathrooms, and was notorious for having personal bathrooms that were cleaned top to bottom three times a day.
This made it easier to track him, because every run down shack he stayed in had a incredibly new and clean bathroom.
He is credited with creating the 'Colombian necktie' (slitting a man's throat and pulling his tongue through the hole). However the Colombian necktie was used by partisans in 'la violencia' of the 1940's.
He has ordered the deaths of at least 100 people, and 600 police agents died during the hunt to catch him.
He was known as one of the most ruthless, ambitious and powerful drug dealers in the world.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a huge sports fan and invested in little league sports.
He was a hero to the people of Medellin for building soccer fields and low-cost housing for the poor.
He was the 7th richest man in the world.
He was shot to death on a rooftop in Medellin (December 3, 1993).
