Why he might be annoying:

It is considered a downgrade from the actual 'Mortal Kombat' films.
It was cancelled after one season, due to low ratings
A second season was planned, prior to cancellation.
Rumors are that a plot idea to use Omegis to resurrect people, but that idea was never set in stone.
It was known as other names such as 'Mortal Kombat: Konquest,' 'Mortal Kombat: The Series' and 'Mortal Kombat Krusades.'
It never achieved the same degree of success for action shows as 'Xena: Warrior Princess' or 'Hercules: The Legendary Journeys' did.
Due to the cancellation, the series ended on an unresolved cliffhanger.

Why he might not be annoying:

Kristanna Loken, Daniel Bernhardt, Jaime Pressly, Eva Mendes, Josie Davis and Haku had roles on the show, before finding stardom.
It had a lot of kick-ass fight scenes.
Ed Boon, who is one of the franchise's co-creators came up with Scorpion's signature line, 'Get over here!'
Boon served as the voice of the Scorpion character in the TV series, films and video game franchises.
Paul W.S. Anderson transformed the video game into successful film and television franchises.
If you were to go by the game and movie story lines, MK: Conquest is taking place in the year 1400, which in turn means it's a different timeframe than we're living in now.
The rivalry between Scorpion and Sub-Zero produced some of the more notable fight scenes in the series.
