The Resume

    (January 28, 1928-September 15, 1999)
    Born in Iola, Kansas
Birth name was Lila Lee Wilkinson
Appeared in the films 'The Show-Off' (1946), 'Lady in the Lake' (1947), and 'Green Dolphin Street' (1948)

Why she might be annoying:

She and Robert Mitchum were arrested together for marijuana possession (September 1, 1948).
She served 60 days in prison, followed by two years of probation.
While in prison, other inmates introduced her to heroin and she became an addict.
Two weeks after her release from jail, she crashed her car into a vehicle stopped at a red light.
Six weeks after that accident, she was arrested for driving under the influence, resulting in her being banished from California for violating probation.
She tried to cash in on her notoriety by starring in a 'Reefer Madness' -style exploitation film, 'She Shoulda Said No.' (1949)
Her three marriages ended with two divorces and an annulment.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was signed to MGM without a screen test after Louis B. Mayer spotted her in a local amateur stage production.
    She looked like Lana Turner.
At the time of her pot bust, she was engaged to Steve Crane (one of Lana Turner's ex-husbands), who reacted by calling off the engagement and fleeing to Europe.
In the 1960s, she returned to Los Angeles, became a minister in a Spiritualist church, and volunteered frequently at area soup kitchens.
