Why he might be annoying:

He was a loner growing up.
He refused to do on camera interviews in English.
He was one of the first NHL players to defect to the WHA.
He wore jersey 00 during the first half of his career, citing that he said 'uh-oh' everytime he allowed a goal.
His mask looked similar to that of Jason Voorhees on 'Friday the 13th' fame.

He was a member of the inaugural Flyers roster.
He backstopped the Flyers to their first couple Stanley Cup titles during the mid 1970s.
He is the fourth NHL player to appear on the cover of Time Magazine.
He was a fan favorite who had a cult following in Philadelphia.
Prior to the 2006-07 season, he held the record for most victories in a single season (47 in 1973-74).
