He was benched in the 2004 Grey Cup in favor of Dave Dickenson.
He spent the majority of the the 2005 season in a quarterback controversy which led him to leave the Lions as a free agent.
He transfered from Texas Christian to Florida A & M in order to receive playing time.
He frequently butted heads with Wally Buono.
He cried to the Vancouver media when he announced his decision to leave the team.

He began the 2004 season as the third string quarterback and moved up the depth chart after both Dickenson and Spurgeon Wynn went down with injuries.
He proved to be an effective quarterback in Dickenson's absence.
He was instrumental in the emergence of Geroy Simon as CFL superstar.
He set a new CFL record for single game completion percentage (90.9%, 303 yards).
