As oddball as it was, it was actually based on Christopher Titus's life and has many references that is true with his own life.
Christopher's real father, Ken Titus, even though he though that he was the butt of all jokes, supports the show 100%.
It started Cynthia Watros's career in TV.
Phyllis Diller guess starred in a episode as Christopher's Grandmother.
It was highly praised by critics and gained twice as many viewers after its first appearance on the air.
