    Four decades after starring in the title role in the original run of ‘Pippin,’ he portrayed Pippin’s father in a Broadway revival (2014-15), and said about the play’s revised ending, ‘It was completely new and different and, in my always extremely humble opinion, wrong – as wrong as it could possibly be.’
