She criticized Tony Blair for sending his kids to private schools, then sent her son to one.
The Committee on Standards and Privileges found that she had failed to declare earnings of £17,300 from appearances on the TV show 'This Week' (2004).
She said 'The British invented racism.' (1988)
She said 'blonde, blue-eyed Finnish girls' were unsuitable as nurses because they had 'never met a black person before.' (1996)
She called Prime Minister David Cameron and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg 'two posh white boys from the Home Counties.' (2010)
She tweeted 'White people love playing 'divide and rule' We should not play their game.' (2012)
She told a black Tory supporter, 'You're a black conservative. You don't do the black thing.' (2011)
Why she might not be annoying
She was the first black woman elected to Parliament.
She broke with Blair and the Labour Party to vote against the war in Iraq (2003).
Her speech on civil liberties during the debate over a counter-terrorism bill was named 'Parliamentary Speech of the Year' by 'The Spectator' (2008).
She offered apologies for several of her comments.
