The Resume

    (August 1, 2015- )
Variety show web series starring BTS
Airs through apps Weverse and VLive
    Produced in Seoul, South Korea

Why Run BTS! might be annoying:

    It is a reality-based series.
    Blatant product placement!!! (FILA, Hyundai).
One episode had them doing a scavenger hunt in a Hyundai showroom - So BLATANT!!!!
Branded products that appear on the show but did not pay to be placed have their labels blurred out.
Editors sometimes do a very poor job blurring out labels with one of the occurrences being a trademark swipe being identifiable on Namjoon’s sneakers.
One episode had Yoon-Gi Min (‘Suga’) (the ‘quiet member’ of BTS) portraying a female transfer student (schoolgirl outfit, wig and all!) and the remaining band members competing for his affection.
Other episodes are competitions, which included sewing together outfits and cooking.
Losers in the competition-based episodes get silly punishments (ie. Jin was forced to wear a hanbok to the airport while the other members wore their normal clothes, losers had to drink garlic juice or clean up a large kitchen).
Band members often wear ridiculously expensive designer clothing pieces while doing simple everyday things (like playing video games); Jin wore a $100k white gold Rolex watch while leisurely sitting on a couch listening to an emcee explaining new game rules.

Why Run BTS! might not be annoying:

The most popular episode featured band members playing an updated version of the Telephone Game with players passing words to each other while having to wear headphones blasting music in their ears. (‘Carbonara’...’Tony Montana’...’Lachimolala’)
Some episodes are skits where the band members act out improvised scenarios unscripted.
The Transfer Student episode had fans laughing at the lead rapper dressed as a schoolgirl.
It keeps Army members entertained while the band is between albums and tours.
Two episodes had the four younger members (Jungkook, Tae, Jimin and RM) cook a meal under older members’ (Jin and Suga) guidance (J-Hope acted as a judge).
Episodes involving cooking showed how inept RM is at cutting onions (and he has an IQ of 148).
As of the end of 2020, episodes can be seen through YouTube, with subtitles.
New 2020 episodes helped fans cope with the pandemic.
