He also goes by the name 'Jawad.'
His Iraqi government was considered to be highly unstable.
He failed to meet many 'progress' deadlines, as suggested by the United States government.
He was accused of being anti-Semitic due to his negative view of Israel.
He is a strict Shi'ite Muslim who isn't trusted by Sunni Muslims or former members of the Baath Party.
Hillary Clinton and Carl Levin suggested he be removed from office.
He opposed secular rule and he wanted to see Iraq become an Islamic state.
He was forced out of his premiership by Iraq's president, but, refused to leave his post (August 11, 2014).

Why he might not be annoying:

He attended Baghdad University.
He was sentenced to death by the Iraqi government and lived as an exile in Syria for two decades.
He was a senior committee member who helped draft Iraq's first Constitution (2005).
Osama Bin Laden called him a 'traitorous apostate.'
He criticized the United States military and security forces for killing Iraqi civilians.
One of his goals as Prime Minister was to disband Iraqi militias.
He never wanted to be Prime Minister of Iraq but felt it was his duty when called upon.
