The Resume

    (January 14, 1982- )
    Born in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee
Lead singer/rhythm guitarist for Kings of Leon
With Kings of Leon, recorded the songs 'Sex on Fire,' 'Use Somebody,' 'Notion,' 'On Call,' 'Charmer,' 'Four Kicks,' 'Red Morning Light' and 'Molly's Chambers'
Brother of Kings of Leon bandmates Nathan and Jared Followill and cousin of Matthew Followill

Why he might be annoying:

He and his brother Nathan originally started a country duo called The Followill Brothers before forming a rock band.
He is a big drinker, and has been in a couple fights with Nathan Followill because of it.
He dropped out of high school to pursue a job as a construction worker.
    He smokes.
During the 'Youth and Young Manhood' era, he sported a very trashy moustache.

Why he might not be annoying:

He grew up wanting to be an entertainer because of his idol, Chris Farley.
The distinct southern drawl in his singing voice gives Kings of Leon their unique sound.
He writes all the lyrics for Kings of Leon and says they are inspired by the themes of 'religion, alcohol and women.'
The first two major hits he wrote were a very serious song ('Use Somebody') and a filthy non-serious song ('Sex on Fire') showing his range in songwriting.
The band and his singing style were complemented by the legendary Bob Dylan.
