    Forward for the Montreal Canadiens (1951-63), Toronto Maple Leafs (1964-65) and St. Louis Blues (1967-68)

    Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame (1974)

Why he might be annoying:

    His nickname 'Dickie' was adopted from former child actor Dickie Moore.
    The nickname caused a lot of confusion as to who was who.
    He came out of retirement on two occasions.
    Despite his status as a Montreal Canadiens legend, he came out of his first retirement to play for the rival Maple Leafs.
    He was the first player to go in and out of retirement on numerous occasions.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He won six Stanley Cup rings with the Canadiens.
    He surpassed Gordie Howe's record for most points in a single season (96 in 1959).
    His number 12, which he shared with Yvan Cournoyer, was co-retired in 2005.
    He played in the NHL All-Star Game on six occasions.
    He was involved in a serious car collision (2006).
