He is a one hit wonder.
His hit is a techno continuation of the story of Major Tom from the 1969 David Bowie classic 'Space Oddity.'
He married his girlfriend Catyana in 1994, and formed a side project called Space Pilots in 1995 (both gone in less than 10 years).

He served in the German Army.
Several of his songs feature science-fiction themes.
First sung in his native German, he learned English to re-release 'Major Tom (Coming Home)' internationally.
'Major Tom (Coming Home)' reached #1 in Germany, Canada, Switzerland and Austria, #2 in the Netherlands, and reached the Top 20 in the U.S.
His tune was reworked in 1994 an became a favorite in European techno clubs.
He has a huge fan base in Japan.
He provided the German voice-over for Future Stan in the 2002 'South Park' episode 'My Future Self n' Me.'
