Comedian

The Resume

    (December 1970- )
    Born in New Orleans, Louisiana
    Birth name is Asa Thibodaux
    YouTube comedian
Created the channels ThrowdOffTV (October 22, 2008) and Asathecomic (November 5, 2007)
Channels consisted of comedy sketches, movie reviews and song parodies
Videos on his channel have received a total of 93.2 million views as of 2021
Videos on his channels include 'Lil Asa vs. Big Asa,' '2012: The End of the World,' 'Obama Wins Song,' 'Popeyes Freakout,' and 'Whopper FREAKOUT (Ghetto Vers. 2.0)'
Frequently filmed videos with his wife, Stacey Fournier-Thibodaux

Why he might be annoying:

He dubbed himself a '100 Million Hit Wonder.'
He had a beef with fellow Youtuber SXEPhil/Phillip DeFranco.
He accused Phil of actively conspiring with YouTube to get him deplatformed.
A video he did on Ashley Greene's nude photos leaking online got him suspended by YouTube after Greene threatened to sue (August 2009).
His content includes spoofs of Larry 'The General' Platt and Jimmy 'Rent is Too Damn High' McMillan (remember them?)
He 'quit' YouTube around 2010, only sporadically posting videos until dropping off entirely around 2015.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is a three time cancer survivor.
He began his career filming commercials for local businesses.
He evacuated New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina with his wife and kids, and started YouTubing after they resettled in Minneapolis.
His sketches were comparable to the Chappelle's Show in quality.
Tyler The Creator still follows his Channel.
He was profiled by TMZ TV, Ebony Magazine and the book 'How To Make Money on Youtube.'
His video parodies of songs by T.I. ('Live Your Life'), Beyonce ('If I Were a Boy' and 'Single Ladies'), and Flo Rida ('Sugar') - each receiving upwards of 1.5 million views.
A cartoon parody he animated and shot with his wife - 'MIA Paper Planes Spoof - Trophy Vice Sarah Palin' - ranked number eight in Time Magazine's Top 10 Sarah Palin Spoofs.
He won the 'Be The King' contest in 2010 and interviewed Larry King live on television just prior to the King of Talk's departure from his show.
He's an OG YouTuber but the site promoted Shane/ShayCarl/Onision's videos over his (post-2020: can you say 'karma?')
