Why he might be annoying:

    His nickname was 'Jorgy.'
    He spent the majority of his career on poor or mediocre teams.
    Despite being a mainstay in the Expos lineup, his tenure ended on a whimper following the team's acquisition of Tony Perez.
    He was remembered for inadvertently starting a bench clearing brawl after he gave the opposition pitcher a look, which prompted his teammate to come off the bench and slam him to the ground in retaliation (1980).
    He posted a record of 42-54 as the Cardinals interim manager following the firing of Joe Torre (1995).

Why he might not be annoying:

    He holds the distinction of being the only major league player born on the day Babe Ruth died.
    He was one of the centerpiece players acquired by the Expos in the Rusty Staub trade (1972).
    He was the first player in the history of the Expos to win a Gold Glove Award.
    He survived a near-fatal brush with death after he took a baseball to the head, which was discovered to have caused a small blood clot near his brain (1979).
    He grew up in Queensand fulfilled a childhood dream playing for the Mets not once, but twice in his career.
