Not only is he a Mormon, but he is the great-great-great grandson of Mormon founder Brigham Young.
For much of his career, he played in the shadow of Joe Montana.
He has done commercials for many companies, including Visa, Toyota and Nike.

He is ranked in People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People in the World (1995).
He is left-handed, which is a rarity among pro quarterbacks.
His contract with the USFL's Los Angeles Express was valued at $40 million, which at that point was the most lucrative contract in U.S. sports history.
He suffered six concussions throughout his career, including one in 1999 that ended his season, and eventually, his career.
He founded the Forever Young Foundation, which is dedicated to the development, security, strength, and education of children.
He works with various other charities.
He is considered by many as a great role model and a really nice guy.
