Why Hodori might be annoying:

    Some people have described him as a poor man's Tony the Tiger.
    He could possibly trip over his sangmo since the string on it is very long.
    He had a lesser known female counterpart named 'Hosuni.'

Why Hodori might not be annoying:

    His name is a phrase which means 'boy tiger' in Korean.
    His cheerful attitude represents humour, bravery and nobility.
    At the Opening Ceremonies for the Seoul Summer Olympics, he was seen dancing alongside previous Olympic mascots including Misha the Bear and Sam the Olympic Eagle.
