Why Everwood might be annoying:

Although a world-famous neurosurgeon, Dr. Andrew 'Andy' Brown never had time for his kids.
In the words of one critic, it's more like a male version of NBC's 'Providence.'
Delia Brown is nothing more than a carbon-copy of Ruthie Camden.
Ephram Brown always bitches about his angst and his resentment for his father, which is understandable considering he had trouble adjusting to his new home and his father neglecting his parental responsibilities.

Why Everwood might not be annoying:

It launched Gregory Smith into stardom.
It provides better drama than its sister show '7th Heaven.'
It is considered serious drama, but with mild comic relief.
It tackles thought-provoking issues from teens with sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) to abortion.
Treat Williams earn two Screen Actors Guild award nominations (2003 and 2004) for his role as Dr. Andrew 'Andy' Brown.
'Andy Brown,' portrayed by Treat Williams, was ranked #43 in TV Guide's list of the '50 Greatest TV Dads of All Time.'
