The Resume

    (1982-1985)
    British new-wave group
Members: Lacey Bond, Lindsey Danvers, Sheen Doran, Ros Holness (Bob’s daughter), and Anita Mahadevan (Chellamah)
Singles include ‘I Eat Cannibals,’ ‘Dracula’s Tango (Sucker for Your Love),’ and ‘Milk from the Coconut’
Name derived loosely from the Latin for ‘by the whole extent or the heavens’
    AKA Total Coelo (U.S. market)

Why they might be annoying:

History is not sure who was behind their origins or exactly where they originated.
Their stateside moniker was conceived to avoid confusion with and potential litigation from Toto. (Yeah, right, with a getup like that?)
When they were down to three members (Bond, Danvers, Holness), they put out two more singles, but didn’t chart with either.
They would go on to an even briefer run that the 14-years-later Spice Girls.

Why they might not be annoying:

Doran described the group’s name as having a number of meanings (‘it seemed to describe what we were’).
If there is no consensus as to whether they had put out a full-length studio album (‘Man o’ War,’ 1983), they did get a compilation album (‘I Eat Cannibals & Other Tasty Trax,’ 1996).
Their style of dress drew comparisons to Bow Wow Wow.
