She looks a bit like a young Bea Arthur.
Some critics find her style bland and generic.
At the last minute, she canceled a performance at a tribute to Princess Diana (1997).
Despite her Maori heritage, she outraged the Maori community by characterizing them as welfare-dependent freeloaders (2003).
Police had to be called when she showed up at a Scottish hotel with four shotguns (2003).
She said: ‘There are some nice human beings around, though I’m not sure if there are many of them in New York.’
