Why he might be annoying:

Most of his columns on Page 2 are extremely long.
He refers to his wife as the Sports Gal and his house as the Sports Guy Mansion.
He overuses phrases such as 'I will now light myself on fire.'
Even though he is a huge fan of Boston area sports teams and bashes the Los Angeles Lakers, he was willing to move to the L.A. area in order to work for Jimmy Kimmel.
His columns have become less frequent since he became a writer for Kimmel.

Why he might not be annoying:

His humorous writings on sports, pop culture, and movies has developed a large fan base.
Sometimes he takes a movie's quotes and uses them to describe the state of the league's season at that point.
He is a huge fan of the Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox, and the New England Patriots.
He was recruited as a writer for the Jimmy Kimmel show after Jimmy saw Bill's Page 2 work.
He is real close with his dad.
