Why Toronto Wellingtons might be annoying:

They lost both their Stanley Cup challenge games against the Winnipeg Victorias.
They started the trend of the city's mediocre pedigree in ice hockey (save for the Maple Leafs pre-1967).
They werw overshadowed by the rival Marlboros.
Despite being a dominant team in the OHA, they opted not to challenge for the Stanley Cup until 1902.
Their history became largely ignored by hockey pundits, following the success of the Leafs.

Why Toronto Wellingtons might not be annoying:

They were the first team based out of Toronto to play for the Stanley Cup.
They had operated successful hockey teams at the amateur, intermediate and senior ranks.
They won the OHA senior championship for four consecutive years (1900-03).
They were one of the first amateur teams to be based out of the Toronto area.
