The Resume

    (October 3, 1951- )
    Born in Los Angeles, California
Birth name was Kevin Roosevelt Moore
    Blues guitarist and singer

Portrayed Robert Johnson in the biopic ‘Can’t You Hear the Wind Howl?’ (1997)

Why he might be annoying:

He played steel drums in a calypso band before getting into the blues.
He recorded one album under his original name that flopped (and then the label went bankrupt).
He played the ‘Angel of Music’ in two episodes of Touched by an Angel (and an unrelated character in a third episode).
On his children’s album ‘Big Wide Grin,’ he covered ‘Flat Foot Floogie (With the Floy Floy),’ a song about a prostitute with VD. (Although few kids in 2001 were sufficiently fluent in ‘40s hipster slang to figure that out.)

Why he might not be annoying:

Before starting his performing career, he was a staff writer for A&M Records.
He earned his first gold record for collaborating with Papa John Creech on a song for the Jefferson Starship album ‘Red Octopus’ (1975).
He performed ‘America the Beautiful’ on the final episode of The West Wing.
He performed at the White House’s Red White and Blue celebration (2012).
Gibson and Martin both released Keb’ Mo’ signature guitars.
