    It was known as 'The Nylon Capital of the World' due to a DuPont nylon manufacturing plant being located in the town.
    It went through a significant population drop following the closure of the plant.

    It is home to some picturesque scenery as it is located along the Nanticoke River.
    It was home to the first nylon manufacturing plant in the world, prior to its closure.
    Its quaint atmosphere made it a popular destination for people who were interested in wanting to move to a smaller center.
    It was able to diversy its economy and succesfully rebrand in the years following the closure of the DuPont nylon manufacturing plant.
