Why he might be annoying:

He has lost more all-star games than anyone.
He was a heavy partier in the 80s.
It was said that he was involved in gang rapes.
He tested positive for cocaine use in 1987 and was sent to rehab.
He was suspended for most of the 1994 and all of the 1995 season for continued cocaine use.
The day after that suspension, he tried to kill himself.
He got released from the lowly Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 2000.
Hours after George Steinbrenner praised him in 2002 for showing that people can get over substance abuse, he was arrested for drunk driving.
He punched out a cabbie when trying to take a stripper home.
He threw away a Hall Of Fame-type career for drugs.
After being stopped by the police in Tampa for DUI, he decided not to get out of his BMW for a sobriety test and fled the scene (August 22, 2005). He surrended to police (August 25, 2005).

Why he might not be annoying:

He was the youngest ever to participate in an all-star game.
He had some of his best years when he was in his teens and early 20s.
He won the 'pitcher's Triple Crown' in 1985.
He had a no-hitter shortly after he was reinstated in baseball in 1996.
He had won 100 games by age 25.
