Why he might be annoying:

He wasted a great deal of the tribe's rice (a fact not lost on Colby).
He made an appearance on the Hollywood Squares.
Jerri never thought he could cook rice (a claim reiterated in the All-Star season).
He and his second fiancée went by the collective nickname ‘Peas & Carrots.'
He was divorced at the time of his Survivor tenure.
He shares a birthplace with fellow Outback contestant and opposing tribe member Michael Skupin.
Probably in response to his tribemates' accusations, one of his publications featured recipes with no rice at all; another featured none without rice.

Why he might not be annoying:

He began his culinary career during a European trip in the late 70s.
After Jerri was eliminated, he whistled 'Ding Dong the Witch is Dead.'
He successfully pleaded with Tina to accord him individual immunity at a point where their half of the merged tribe was at serious risk of Pagonging.
He popped the question during an online chat and got accepted.
His audition tape showed him engaging in a host of antics, including walking barefoot on a hot coal bed.
He supports and conducts numerous cultural events focusing on kids.
