He formed a new Doors line-up featuring the Cult's Ian Astbury in place of Jim Morrison.
He keeps having to answer questions about whether Morrison exposed himself in Miami (Manzarek denies it ever happened).
He played the keyboard bass in the band, since the Doors never had a bassist.

He graduated from UCLA.
He is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Doors.
He is one of the greatest and most distinctive keyboard players in rock.

He has been married to the same woman, Dorothy, for over 30 years.
