Why he might be annoying:

    His pitching repitoire was called 'Little League Slop' by Rod Carew.
    He struggled to secure a full time roster spot with the Orioles in his first few years with the team.
    He cried when he found out the Orioles traded him to Boston.
    He signed with the Royals in the 1991 free agency period, after he was spurned by his preferred team, the Cardinals.
    His pitching velocity decreased significantly in his later years.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He worked at a grain elevator in his hometown of Norway, Iowa during the first couple off-seasons he was with the Orioles.
    He was a member of the Orioles team that won their first World Series title in 13 years (1983).
    He was the first rookie in the history of the American League to pitch a shutout in the playoffs.
    To date, he is the last pitcher in the history of the Orioles franchise to record a 20-win season.
    He was traded to Boston for future All-Stars Brady Anderson andCurt Schilling, in a trade that worked out for both teams in the long term.
