He claimed to have special powers like predicting the future.
He wrote his predictions in secret codes and thus allowing for a multitude of interpretations.
If you say enough bizarre thing then a few will eventually come true.
People that go by only one name may be hiding something secret.
Despite curing many people of the plague, his wife and children died from it.

He helped rid Europe of the plague by teaching clean hygiene and the use of Vitamin C.
He never predicted the future for cash or use tarot cards, crystal balls, etc.
