Why he might be annoying:

    He missed the majority of the 1941-42 season due to injuries.
    He was the least known of the 'Punch Line' which featured Maurice Richard and Toe Blake as linemates.
    His number 16 was initially taken out of circulation, but later given to Henri Richard.
    After scoring the Stanley Cup clinching goal, he had his nose broken by Maurice Richard during the post-game celebrations (1953).
    Many hockey pundits felt his success was a result of playing a shorter schedule.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He made the Canadiens as an undrafted free agent.
    He was the first winner of the Art Ross Trophy (NHL scoring title) (1948).
    He excelled being the set-up man for Richard.
    He was portrayed by Mike Ricci in the Canadian film 'The Rocket.'
    His jersey #16 was retired by the Canadiens during the franchise's centennial game (December 4, 2009).
