He won 65 consecutive long jump competitions.
The gold medal he won in the 1996 Olympics is considered one of the most surprising victories in Olympics history.
He is against steroid use.
He was ranked #12 on ESPN's Sports Century's Greatest Athletes of the 20th Century.
He was ranked #11 on Sport Illustrated's '40 For The Ages' list.
