Why Banff, Alberta might be annoying:

    It's the Canadian version of Aspen, Colorado and Park City, Utah, due to being a high end tourist town.
    It has an extremely high cost of living, as a result of its location in a national park.
    It allows wildlife to roam around the town freely.
    It was the site of the Castle Mountain Internment Camp during World War I.
    Despite being a community for over a century, its municipal operations were overseen by the Government of Canada's national parks department until 1990.

Why Banff, Alberta might not be annoying:

    It, along with neighbouring Lake Louise, are considered one of the premier tourist destinations in Western Canada.
    It is home to a lot of picturesque mountainous scenery, hot springs and ski resorts.
    It is the first Canadian municipality to incorporate within the boundaries of a national park.
    It is a popular destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts as the region has plenty of trails for both hiking and cycling.
    It is located along the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route, which starts in neighboring Jasper and makes its way south to Antelope Falls, New Mexico.
    It is located in close proximity to both Calgary to the east and the British Columbia border to the west.
