    She's not viewed as being strongly pro-Israel, raising the ire of foreign policy watchdogs.
    Less than a month after taking over as U.N. Ambassador, she publicly blasted 'failures' of the U.N. Security Council.

    She attended Harvard Law School and Yale University.
    Her book, 'A Problem from Hell: America and the Age of Genocide', won a Pulitzer Prize.
    She's known as a human rights crusader.
    Many pundits viewed her as a far stronger Ambassador to the U.N. than Susan Rice.
    Time magazine included her as one of their '100 Most Influential People in the World' (2004).
