Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame inductee (2012)
Died of pancreatic cancer at 53

He retired from the majors after he signed with the Braves, only to find out they intended to use him in a depth spot.
He attempted a comeback in the senior leagues, as a way to make the Canadian Olympic baseball team (2008).
