Racist

The Resume

    (April 3, 1994- )
    Born in Columbia, South Carolina
Birth name is Dylann Storm Roof
Former landscaper; Suspect in the Charleston church shooting
Murdered 9 people and injured 1 other person during a routine group Bible study session at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in downtown Charleston (June 17, 2015)
Among those killed included senior pastor and state senator Clementa C. Pinckney
Confessed to committing the shooting with the intention of igniting a 'race war'
Soon after identified as the domain owner of a website called 'The Last Rhodesian' in which a 2,444-word racial 'Manifesto' was unveiled detailing Roof's ideological views concerning Blacks, Jews, and other minority groups

Why he might be annoying:

How many times do we have to play this same, damned, record?
He repeated the ninth grade, and at two different schools.
He was a high school dropout and a vagrant known for abusing alcohol and LSD.
He was known to frequently rant about how 'blacks were taking over the world.'
He was known for holding reactionary views; openly pining for the return of segregationist Jim Crow policies against blacks.
He had previously been arrested on two occasions; the first for drug possession, the second for violating his probation and trespassing.
He was allegedly moved to plan the shooting after becoming upset over the coverage of the Trayvon Martin case, and the subsequent trial of George Zimmerman in 2013.
He frequently told friends and acquaintances that he had plans to shoot up a local College, but inexplicably not one of them notified the proper authorities about the threat.
He reportedly waited until the parishioners of the Emanuel Church bowed their heads in prayer, at which point he pulled out a gun and yelled 'I'll give you something to pray about!' before opening fire on them.
He reportedly told a survivor, whom he intentionally spared, 'I have to do it. You’re raping our women and taking over the country. You have to go.'
His baby-faced, puerile appearance led many to believe that he was much younger than he really was (looking more like a high school-kid than a 21-year-old).
Apologists initially zeroed in on his Facebook account after he was identified as the shooter; claiming that the shooting couldn't be racially motivated because he had 'black Facebook friends' (of course, even after the content of his Manifesto became available, those same people still insisted it couldn't be racial).
His website showed him spitting on the American flag, revealed him to be a Neo-Nazi sympathizer, and an active visitor of historical sites associated with antebellum black slavery (he specifically targeted the Episcopal Church because it was a landmark in African-American abolitionist history).
In a case of cruel 'strange bedfellow' irony, his cell-block neighbor turned out to be Michael Slager, the North Charleston police officer charged with first-degree murder for the shooting of un-armed black veteran, Walter Scott, earlier the same year.

Why he might not be annoying:

His actions indirectly led to a national debate over the appropriateness of flying the Confederate Flag.
Subsequently, after deliberations with the state legislature, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley announced that the Confederate Flag would be removed from the South Carolina Capitol (Jun. 21, 2015).
He allegedly had second thoughts about committing the shooting when he realized how kindly the church members were treating him.
He didn't outsource his deranged and horrific actions, meant to incite a civil race war, to a gaggle of brainwashed cultists (unlike that damned Helter Skelter punk...)
His actions could have been prevented if the local police force hadn't been so fecklessly incompetent as to ignore the warning signs and not investigate the legality of his firearm purchases (the jail clerk mistakenly marked his case down as a felony, instead of a misdemeanor, thereby not warranting a background check).
Case in point, after apprehending him at a Shelby gas station, the arresting officers 'bought him food from a nearby Burger King,' outraging many (rightfully) who asserted that a black shooter would not be treated as gently if accused of the same mass shooting.
