Forward for the Detroit Red Wings (1984-95), Tampa Bay Lightning (1995-97, 1999-2000) and the San Jose Sharks (1997-99)
Died of complications from brain trauma after a fall in his home

Why he might be annoying:

His nickname was 'Skippy.'
He had a penchant for talking incessantly.
He was traded from the Red Wings a couple years before they were a Stanley Cup powerhouse.
His skills diminished enough that he spent his final few seasons as a depth forward.
He failed to replicate his scoring production he had in junior at the NHL level.

He was one of the few bright spots for the Red Wings during the infamous 'Dead Things' 1980's era.
He was a reliable forward who excelled in the defensive aspects of the game.
He was a member of the Lightning team that made their first appearance in the Stanley Cup playoffs (1996).
He was heavily involved with the Red Wings alumni association in the years following his retirement from active play.
He was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia a couple years, prior to his passing.
