Why he might be annoying:

In high school, he put decals of his jersey number 7 all over his convertible.
He admits that he was the school bully in middle school.
After being named the NFL MVP in 1988, he seemed to be doing commercials for every product in existence.
He co-hosted the 1998 Miss America Pageant with Meredith Viera.

Why he might not be annoying:

His son Gunnar suffers from cystic fibrosis.
As a result, Boomer now spends a lot of his time doing charitable causes to fight the disease, including founding the Boomer Esiason CF Foundation.
He sells barbecue sauce with his namesake on the bottle, giving all after-tax profits to fight CF.
The sauce is quite tasty.
He is left handed.
He is now an analyst for CBS's coverage of NFL games.
