The Resume

    (November 8, 2015-December 27, 2015)
    Born in United States
    Aired on TNT
Starred Sharon Stone as Vice President Natalie Maccabee and Jeff Hephner as John Case a.k.a. 'Agent X'
Also starred Jamey Sheridan, Gerald McRaney and Olga Fonda
And James Earl Jones as the Chief Justice of the United States
Premise: the Vice President of the United States covertly directs John Case, a secret agent tasked with defending the United States against its most dangerous enemies

Why Agent X might be annoying:

The premise that the U.S. Constitution had a secret hidden clause that put the Vice President in charge of a secret agent whose identity and assignments were known only to them was stupid.
For what was supposed to be an action show, it was kind of boring
Jeff Hephner was not even remotely believable as the James Bond/John Rambo character he was portraying.
It bombed in the ratings and was canceled after only ten episodes.
The romantic undercurrent in the relationship between Stone and Hephner was ludicrous.
The pilot was weak and its sudden cancellation left it with no final episode to wrap things up.
    It was very derivative.

Why Agent X might not be annoying:

Other than Hephner, the cast was excellent.
Semi-regular Olga Fonda as a double agent haunted by her past turned in especially good performances.
Stupid as it was, the concept was original.
Sharon Stone did double duty as the show's star and executive producer.
It had a subtle scifi edge to it.
The sex, violence, and foul language was kept to a welcome and remarkable minimum.
