The Resume

    (February 18, 1974-June 1, 1984)
Original version ran from February 18, 1974 to March 31, 1978
Revival ran from January 18, 1982 to June 1, 1984
    Aired on CBS
Had a syndicated run from 1977-78
    Hosted by Bert Convy
Premise: Celebrity couples try to guess how their spouse answered personal questions

Why Tattletales might be annoying:

It was basically 'The Newlywed Game' with celebrities.
The vast majority of the celebrities who competed were D-listers, has-beens, or other game show hosts.
Bob Crane was eerily asked about his sex obsession when he appeared on the show a few years before his murder.
Bert Convy awkwardly made out with a female audience member on the show while he was still married.
It was a modified version of the failed game show 'He Said, She Said,' (in other words, it was a knockoff of a 'Newlywed Game' knockoff).

Why Tattletales might not be annoying:

The celebrities played for cash for a portion of the studio audience.
Unlike 'The Newlywed Game', the couples didn't bicker much when their answers didn't match.
Convy won an Emmy for his work on the show.
'Match Game' host Gene Rayburn guest hosted an episode while Convy played the game with his wife.
TV Guide ranked it as the 31st greatest game show of all time.
