Why Life with Louie might be annoying:

Since the real Louie was born in 1953, that would logically put the time setting of the series in the early 60s — around the end of the Eisenhower presidency.
Furthermore, Anderson himself was born and raised in Minnesota.
McClurg was the only other voice to be credited in every single episode.
The pilot episode was a 1994 Christmas special.
As the profile picture displays oh-so-clearly, there was plenty of merchandising going on, on both the restaurant and the supermarket ends.
Though no DVDs had (yet!) been made in North America, the UK did get three double-episode sets in 2007.

Why Life with Louie might not be annoying:

‘Let me tell you about my family.’ Yes, a rare instance where the celebrity did his namesake’s voice.
It did not shy away from controversial subject matter, such as insult comics.
Though Tommy was the only constant, the other Anderson siblings were always acknowledged, if not always outright shown onscreen.
Among its multiple awards were two Emmys (for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program).
After a string of failed sitcoms, Anderson wasn’t expecting this new project to fare any better. Then he was approached – twice – by a producer who cut her teeth in the Hanna-Barbera empire. (Family Feud would be another heavy hitter.)
