Hockey Player

The Resume

    (September 23, 1999- )
    Born in Springfield, Massachusetts
    Raised in the Philadelphia area
Middle son of Daniel Brière and Sylvie Lessard
Played on the men’s ice hockey team at Mercyhurst University (2020-23)

Why he might be annoying:

He is a child of privilege and opportunity, given the fact he grew up around money due to his father’s career.
He is incorrectly listed as being born in the Philadelphia area, when he didn't move there until he was 7 years old.
He got kicked off the hockey team at Arizona State University due to excessive partying, before playing a game with them.
He was caught on surveillance camera at a nightclub sitting in a disabled woman’s unattended wheelchair, before pushing it down a flight of stairs, causing significant damage in the process (March 11, 2023).
The wheelchair in question belonged to a double leg amputee, who was in the restroom at the time of the incident.
He made a half-assed insincere apology to the victim and the media when word of the incident became public knowledge.
His lack of empathy towards the victim, along with his haughty attitude made him come off as a smug little prick.
He was suspended from the Mercyhurst hockey team days after the video of the incident went viral.
His stupidity overshadowed the announcement of his father’s appointment as the Flyers interim general manager in wake of Chuck Fletcher‘s firing hours earlier.
While his father was considered one of the NHL’s respected players, he did not inherit that characteristic trait unfortunately.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the spitting image of his father.
He was born in Springfield when his father was playing for the AHL's Springfield Falcons.
His parents divorced shortly before the 2010 Stanley Cup Finals.
He grew up around NHL locker rooms, due to his father’s career.
His revelation as the culprit went viral, after a bar employee identified him over social media.
The person who revealed his identity felt he would have gotten off easy due to his name and connections, had the video of him shoving the wheelchair down the stairs not gone viral.
He faced a swift condemnation for his actions from both hockey fans and disability advocates alike.
His father made an apology over the incident, going as far as denouncing his actions, citing they didn’t match up with the family’s values.
Prior to the incident, he made the most of his second chance playing on the hockey team at Mercyhurst University.
He attended the Philadelphia Flyers development camp in 2019.
He was considered a chip off the old block when it came to hockey sense.
