Wrote the autobiography 'I Am Not Ashamed' (1963)

Why she might be annoying:

While engaged to Franchot Tone she proposed to actor Tom Neal.
She married Tone anyway, but left him after seven weeks to return to Neal (1952).
Ex-husband John Payton successfully sued for custody of their son, with the judge calling her 'an unfit mother, not to mention a thoroughly confused and misguided young woman (1956).'
She was arrested for passing bad checks (1955), prostitution (1962), shoplifting (1964) and heroin possession (1965).
She died of liver failure from heavy drinking.

Why she might not be annoying:

During the making of 'Dallas,' the crew celebrated the end of a day's filming by running her petticoat up the flagpole.
She was stabbed by a drunk trick and needed 38 stitches to close the wound (1962).
She was a gourmet cook.
