Born in Mokpo, Chosen, Korea (South)
    Birth name is Soon-taek Oh
Portrayed Lieutenant Yip in ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’ (1974)
Portrayed Colonel Yin in ‘Missing in Action 2: The Beginning’ (1985)

Why he might be annoying:

There are at least four variations of how to spell his full name (confusing).
He played so many Japanese characters that people started mislabeling him as such.
He took part in the universally disliked ‘Mulan II’ - widely deemed one of the worst and most unnecessary Disney sequels (and there’s hella competition in that group).

Why he might not be annoying:

He grew up in Korea under Japanese Imperial rule during World War II.
His family immigrated to the United States before the outbreak of the Korean War.
He started actively turning down servile roles in film/television and focusing on stage work.
He was one of the earliest members of the East West Players in Los Angeles and he formed the Korean American theater troupe, Society of Heritage Performers, in 1995.
He appeared in the original cast of Sondheim’s Pacific Overtures.
He was named chair professor at the Seoul Institute of the Arts in 2005.
He got to fight both Chuck Norris and James Bond on the big screen.
He was a figure of warmth as Mulan’s loving father (‘My, what beautiful blossoms we have this year. But look, this one's late. But I'll bet that when it blooms, it will be the most beautiful of all’).
