    In 1733, the Census results showed only 83 people living here.
    The french continue to refer to it as Acadia.
    When some of the area became British property, many people refused to swear loyalty to the British.
    Those who refused got their homes burnt to the ground.
    Forests cover approximately 90% of the land.
